National Tidy Towns Awards in Triabunna, Tasmania
5 June, 2017 Cat

Keep Victoria Beautiful CEO, Sabina Wills, travelled to Triabunna, one of the largest towns on the east coast of Tasmania, to attend the 2017 National Tidy Towns Awards in May.

After a fantastic weekend in Tasmania, we are excited to see our fantastic Horsham young leader of 2016, Dalton Cross, receive the Australian Tidy Towns Margaret Chambers Sustainable Communities Youth Subsidy Grant, which covered his travel and accommodation expenses. We are proud to have Dalton represent the fantastic work being done in Victorian local communities.

Tidy Towns judge Jill Grant in the Tidy Towns event summary commented,

“Horsham has a strong sense of community pride immediately evident in the town’s immaculate streetscapes, sporting facilities, and public spaces.”

The KVB team is delighted to see another Tidy Towns awards season invigorate communities and small towns to do incredible work, contributing toward the prosperity of their local environments.

We are immensely proud of the efforts by all entrants and finalists. The contribution made to local communities and environments has the power to positively affect townships throughout.
